1/8 Scale

Can Trax be used to design 1/8 scale train layouts? This is a popular size for live steam locomotives. The rails are 7.5 inches apart. All the track is custom made. Usually in 10' sections. Typical curves are 50 or 60 foot radius. So there is no commercial track manufacturer like these is with scales such as HO.

just plan your layout in G scale (1:32) and scale up by a factor of 4.
